Best Online Bookmakers: Compare the Evidence

Checked on the operators' own pages, 7 to 15 October 2026. Order follows our published method.

The best online bookmakers are the ones that hold a licence you can verify, accept customers from your country, price their markets with a small margin and pay withdrawals on clear, published terms. For bettors outside the United States and the United Kingdom, the sportsbooks on our list in October 2026 are Reblz, Bet Inferno, Tenobet, Foxy Gold, Stake and BC.Game. We checked each one on its own pages: operator, licence, sports welcome terms, withdrawal limits and restricted countries. None of them takes US or UK customers.

Every card shows the licence and the countries the bookmaker excludes. Check that line first, then compare the offer, the withdrawal limits and the payment options.

How do the listed bookmakers compare?

The table puts the facts that matter most side by side. Everything comes from the operators’ own terms, payments pages and promotion pages, read between 7 and 15 October 2026.

Bookmaker Licence Sports welcome (headline) Withdrawal limits Crypto
Reblz Malta Gaming Authority 100% up to €400 €5,000 per 24 hours, €20,000 per 30 days No
Bet Inferno Anjouan 100% up to €250 €5,000 per 24 hours, €20,000 per 30 days No
Tenobet Anjouan 300% up to €3,000 over 3 deposits €1,000 per day, €10,000 per month Yes
Foxy Gold Tobique Gaming Commission €10 free bet €4,000 per day, €10,000 per week Yes
Stake Curaçao Gaming Authority No fixed welcome match Set in its terms Yes
BC.Game Anjouan Monthly four-deposit bonus Set in its terms Yes

Two columns deserve a second look before the welcome offer. The licence decides where you can complain if a withdrawal is refused, and the withdrawal limits decide how quickly a large win can reach you. A 300% bonus is less attractive if the bookmaker pays out at most €1,000 a day; a modest offer from a bookmaker with a strong licence and higher limits can be worth more in the long run. Short profiles of each are on our bookmaker reviews page.

Which of these bookmakers suits you?

Reblz, for bettors who want an EU licence

Reblz is the only bookmaker on our list licensed in the European Union, by the Malta Gaming Authority, and its terms name an independent dispute body. Its sports offer is well documented, it pays a daily free bet of 10% of your first bet each day up to €40, and instant bank withdrawals are processed the same working day where available. It suits bettors who value clear rules and a strong complaint route more than the biggest bonus. It does not take crypto, and accounts are usually held in euros. Our Reblz review goes through it line by line.

Bet Inferno, for a smaller first deposit

Bet Inferno mirrors Reblz’s sports offer at a lower ceiling, 100% up to €250, and lists Interac for Canadian customers outside Ontario as well as cards and e-wallets. Its Anjouan licence offers a less direct complaint route than Malta’s. Residents of Finland cannot claim the sports offer, and the exclusion list covers several large European markets.

Tenobet, for bettors chasing the largest package

Tenobet’s three-deposit sports package is by far the largest headline on our list. Read two things before depositing: the basis of the 5x rollover, which the promotions page does not state, and the €1,000 daily withdrawal cap. It accepts crypto as well as cards and e-wallets.

Foxy Gold, for a low-stakes start

Foxy Gold asks for only €20 to unlock a €10 free bet whose winnings are paid as cash. It is a young brand on a Tobique licence with a wide payment list, including crypto through XCoins. Good for testing a sportsbook without committing a large deposit, as long as you can live with a short track record and default withdrawal limits.

Stake and BC.Game, for crypto-first bettors

Both run their cashiers in crypto with long coin lists. Stake skips welcome bonuses in favour of VIP rewards and rakeback; BC.Game pays a monthly four-deposit bonus into locked rakeback. Both hold offshore licences and exclude many countries, so check the lists carefully.

How did we choose these bookmakers?

A bookmaker appears on this page only if we could confirm, on its own website, that it runs a live sportsbook, who operates it, which licence it holds, what its sports welcome offer requires and which countries it excludes. We then check the licence on the regulator’s register or through the seal on the site. We do not list brands we could not check, and we do not claim tests we did not run: payout times shown are the operators’ stated targets.

Some of the bookmakers we list are commercial partners, and we may be paid when readers open an account through our links. That is why they appear first where their verified facts support it, and why we publish the facts in full, including the drawbacks. It never changes a licence number, a rollover multiple or a withdrawal cap. How we rate and how the site is funded are explained on our about page.

What should you check before joining an online bookmaker?

  1. Eligibility: your country must not be on the restricted list in the terms, and you must be of legal age where you live.
  2. Licence: the company and licence number in the footer should match the regulator’s register.
  3. Prices: add up the implied probabilities of a market to see the margin you pay on every bet.
  4. Payments: methods that work in your country, in your currency, for withdrawals as well as deposits.
  5. Withdrawals: minimums, caps and processing targets.
  6. Rules: how voids, retirements, overtime and obvious price errors are settled.
  7. Tools: deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion in the account settings.

Our full checklist, with a twenty-minute routine you can run on any sportsbook, is in how to choose a bookmaker.

Why does the bookmaker’s margin matter more than the bonus?

Every price includes a margin, and you pay it on every bet for as long as you bet. A welcome offer is paid once. That makes price the bigger number over any realistic season.

Worked example: one market at two bookmakers

Take a tennis match priced 1.72 and 2.10 at one bookmaker and 1.76 and 2.18 at another (illustrative prices). At the first, the implied probabilities are 58.14% and 47.62%, a total of 105.76%, so the margin is about 5.4% of money staked. At the second they are 56.82% and 45.87%, a total of 102.69%, a margin of about 2.6%. Bet €3,000 over a few months at each and the expected cost is roughly €163 against €79. The second bookmaker is about €84 cheaper on the same bets, before any bonus. You will find the method, and how to remove the margin to see fair odds, on the betting odds explained page.

A quick price-comparison routine

  1. Pick the exact market you want, for example “Asian handicap −0.5, home team”.
  2. Open it at two or three of your bookmakers within a minute or two, so prices are comparable.
  3. Note each price and convert it to an implied probability (1 divided by the decimal odds).
  4. Take the highest price, as long as the bookmaker accepts your stake and you trust its rules.
  5. Record the price you took next to the closing price later, to see whether you are beating the market over time.

Why we do not show live odds

Prices change by the minute, and a table of odds on a guide page is out of date almost as soon as it is published. Every price on this site is an illustrative example for working through the maths, labelled as such. For real prices, open the bookmaker’s own market at the moment you want to bet.

Which sports do our guides cover?

Each sport has its own markets and settlement traps. Our guides explain them with worked examples and current season dates.

Sport What the guide covers
Football 1X2, Asian handicaps, totals, the 90-minute rule, 2026-27 calendar
Tennis Handicaps, total games, retirement rules, surfaces
Basketball Spreads, totals, overtime, NBA and EuroLeague formats
Esports CS2, Dota 2, LoL, Valorant markets and integrity
NFL Key numbers 3 and 7, teasers, overtime, the 2026 season
Horse racing Each-way terms, Rule 4, tote pools, greyhounds

Markets for golf, motorsport, rugby, cricket, darts, boxing, ice hockey and politics are covered on our bet types page, along with accumulators, system bets and Asian handicap settlement.

Which countries do these bookmakers exclude?

Restricted lists decide whether a bookmaker is an option for you at all, and they differ widely. The table shows a few large markets as listed in each bookmaker’s terms in October 2026; always read the full list.

Country Reblz Bet Inferno Tenobet BC.Game
United States Excluded Excluded Excluded Excluded
United Kingdom No UK licence Excluded Excluded Excluded
Germany Not listed Excluded Excluded Excluded
France Not listed Excluded Excluded Excluded
Netherlands Not listed Excluded Excluded Excluded
Canada (Ontario) Not listed Ontario excluded Not listed Not listed

“Not listed” means only that the bookmaker’s own list does not name the country. Germany, France, the Netherlands and Ontario all require local licences that none of these operators holds, so check your local law as well as the terms.

Do you pay tax on betting winnings?

It depends entirely on where you live. Some countries do not tax betting winnings for private individuals; others tax them as income, tax only winnings from operators licensed abroad, or tax the operator instead of the player. Crypto adds another layer, because in some countries using a coin to bet counts as disposing of it. We do not give tax advice: check your tax authority’s guidance, keep a record of deposits, withdrawals and bets, and ask a professional if the amounts are significant.

Which bookmaker for which sport?

If you mostly bet on Worth comparing Why
Football accumulators Reblz, Bet Inferno Acca bonuses and combo insurance on multiples
Football, basketball, ice hockey or NFL singles Reblz, Bet Inferno Early payout offers on named markets
Esports and cricket BC.Game, Stake Prominent esports and cricket sections
Small stakes while you learn Foxy Gold €20 deposit for a €10 free bet
High volume over time Stake Rewards through VIP and rakeback instead of a one-off bonus

Whatever the sport, compare prices on the exact market before you bet; margins vary more between bookmakers on smaller leagues and props than on headline matches.

Live betting, cash out and bet builders

Most of the sportsbooks we list offer in-play betting, cash out and bet builders. All three are useful, and all three cost more than they appear to: live markets usually carry wider margins and a short acceptance delay, cash-out offers sit a little below the fair value of your bet, and bet builders price correlated legs with an extra margin. Reblz and Bet Inferno add early payout promotions and combo insurance on multiples. Our live betting guide shows how to put a number on each, including a worked cash-out calculation.

How do sports welcome offers really compare?

Headline amounts are not comparable on their own. Reblz and Bet Inferno publish complete terms: a 100% match (up to €400 and €250), wagered 6 times on deposit plus bonus at odds of 1.50 or more within 21 days, with each bet counting for at most 20% of the bonus. Tenobet’s sports package is larger, 300% up to €3,000 over three deposits, but its promotions page labels it “5x” without saying whether that applies to the bonus alone or to deposit plus bonus. Foxy Gold keeps it simple with a €10 free bet. Stake skips the welcome match entirely and pays rakeback and VIP rewards instead.

For a €100 first deposit at Reblz, the rollover is €1,200 of qualifying bets. At a 5% average margin, those bets cost about €60 in expected terms, against a €100 bonus. That is positive on paper, but it takes at least 60 counted bets in three weeks, and many players do not finish. Our bonuses guide explains when to take an offer and when to decline it.

Payments and withdrawals at a glance

Payment options differ more between these bookmakers than their sports menus do. Reblz offers instant bank transfers in selected regions, cards, Apple Pay, Jeton and Revolut. Bet Inferno lists cards, Interac, Jeton, Google Pay, MiFinity and Revolut. Foxy Gold adds Skrill, Neteller, Trustly and crypto through XCoins, and Tenobet takes crypto alongside cards and e-wallets. Withdrawals usually go back to the method you deposited with, and every bookmaker can ask for identity documents first, so verify early. The details, fees and the closed-loop rule are in our payment methods guide.

Can you bet with crypto?

Yes, at four of the six: Tenobet, Foxy Gold, Stake and BC.Game. Crypto deposits are fast and cheap on the right network, but the coin’s price moves while your balance sits in it, transfers cannot be reversed, and the licences behind crypto-first sites give fewer protections than an EU licence. Holding your balance in a stablecoin keeps your results tied to your betting rather than to the bitcoin price. Our crypto sportsbooks guide covers networks, fees and verification.

How do you open an account in five steps?

  1. Check the restricted list in the bookmaker’s terms; if your country is there, choose another bookmaker.
  2. Register with your real details exactly as they appear on your ID, and use a unique password with two-factor login if offered.
  3. Set a deposit limit in the account before your first payment.
  4. Decide on the welcome offer: claim it with the right code or cashier option at the first deposit, or skip it.
  5. Verify early by uploading ID and proof of address, then try a small withdrawal to see how the process works.

Which odds format will you see?

International sportsbooks usually show decimal odds by default and let you switch format in the settings. The same price looks very different in each.

Decimal Fractional American Implied probability
1.50 1/2 −200 66.7%
2.00 1/1 (evens) +100 50.0%
2.75 7/4 +175 36.4%
4.00 3/1 +300 25.0%
11.00 10/1 +1000 9.1%

What mistakes do new bettors make most often?

  • Choosing on the bonus: the welcome offer is paid once; the margin and withdrawal rules apply to every bet afterwards.
  • Ignoring the restricted list: an account opened from an excluded country can be closed with the balance withheld.
  • Long accumulators by habit: each extra leg adds the bookmaker’s margin again; a ten-fold is a lottery ticket.
  • Not reading settlement rules: extra time, tennis retirements and overtime decide many “should have won” bets.
  • Chasing losses: raising stakes to win back money is the most reliable way to lose more of it.
  • One account only: without a second bookmaker you cannot compare prices.
  • Leaving balances on sites: withdraw winnings regularly instead of treating the account as a wallet.

Key betting terms in one place

  • Margin (overround): the bookmaker’s built-in edge, visible when a market’s implied probabilities add up to more than 100%.
  • Rollover (wagering): how much you must bet before bonus money can be withdrawn.
  • Asian handicap: a handicap that removes the draw; quarter lines split your stake across two lines.
  • Each-way: a win bet plus a place bet of the same size.
  • Cash out: settling a bet early for a price the bookmaker offers.
  • Closing line: the last price before an event starts; beating it regularly suggests skill.
  • KYC: “know your customer”, the identity checks every licensed bookmaker must run.
  • ADR: alternative dispute resolution, the independent body that handles complaints the bookmaker cannot settle.

What do the licences mean for you?

Reblz is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority and names eCOGRA as its dispute body. Bet Inferno, Tenobet and BC.Game hold Anjouan licences, Foxy Gold a Tobique licence and Stake a Curaçao licence. These offshore regulators do not settle individual disputes themselves: you complain to the operator first and then to an alternative dispute resolution body. A foreign licence also does not make a bookmaker lawful in a country that requires its own licence. Our licence check guide shows how to verify each one in a couple of minutes.

How do bookmakers make their money?

A bookmaker does not need to predict results. It sets prices whose implied probabilities add up to more than 100%, so that if it takes bets in proportion to those prices it keeps the difference whatever happens. On a two-way market priced 1.91 and 1.91, a bookmaker that takes €1,000 on each side pays out €1,910 to the winners from €2,000 staked and keeps €90, about 4.5%. When money is uneven, it moves the price to attract the other side, or carries some risk on its view of the result.

That model explains several things you will notice. Bookmakers move prices when large bets arrive, they limit stakes from customers who consistently take prices that later shorten, and they push products with bigger margins, such as accumulators, bet builders and boosted specials. None of this is sinister; it is the business. Knowing it helps you choose the markets where the bookmaker’s edge is smallest.

How much should you stake?

Decide on a betting bankroll first: money set aside for betting that you can afford to lose entirely, separate from bills and savings. Then stake a small, fixed share of it on each bet. A common approach is 1% to 2% per bet, which keeps you betting through the inevitable losing runs.

Worked example: why stake size matters

With a €400 bankroll and €8 stakes (2%), ten losses in a row, which happens more often than most people expect at odds around 2.00, cost €80 and leave €320 to continue. With €40 stakes (10%), the same run costs €400 and ends the bankroll. At odds of 2.00 with a true 48% chance per bet, a run of ten straight losses has a probability of about 0.15% on any given ten bets, but over a season of several hundred bets the chance of meeting such a run somewhere is far higher. Small stakes are not timid; they are what lets the maths play out.

Is mobile betting different?

The sportsbooks we list all work in a mobile browser, and the bet slip, cash out and in-play markets behave as they do on desktop. The difference is speed and habit: a phone makes it easy to bet on impulse, late at night or during a match you were only half watching. Use the same limits on mobile as anywhere, turn off promotional notifications if they tempt you, and be wary of apps offered outside the official app stores.

Bookmaker or betting exchange?

A betting exchange matches your bet against another customer’s instead of offering a bookmaker’s price, and charges commission on net winnings. Prices on big markets are often closer to fair, and you can bet against an outcome (lay it). Exchanges are licensed in fewer countries and need enough money on the other side to match your bet. None of the six sites above is an exchange; if one is available and licensed where you live, it is a useful price check.

Questions to ask support before you deposit

  • Which payment methods can I use from my country, and can I withdraw to the same one?
  • How long does the first withdrawal usually take, and what documents will you need?
  • Does the sports welcome offer apply to my country and my payment method?
  • Which dispute body handles complaints under your licence?
  • How do I set a deposit limit or a time-out?

Clear, quick answers are a good sign. Vague replies, or a push towards a bigger deposit, are a reason to look elsewhere.

How we keep this page up to date

Bookmakers change offers, licences and restricted lists often, sometimes without notice. We re-check every card when we update this page and date the facts that change. If you find something on a bookmaker’s site that no longer matches what we say, tell us through the contact details on our about page and we will check it and correct the page if needed.

What if you live in the UK?

Only bookmakers licensed by the Gambling Commission may offer betting to customers in Great Britain. You can check any operator on the Commission’s public register. GAMSTOP, the free national self-exclusion scheme, covers those licensed operators. None of the bookmakers on this site holds a Gambling Commission licence, and none is aimed at UK residents, so we do not recommend any of them to UK readers.

What if you live in the United States?

Sports betting is legal in 39 states plus Washington, DC, and only with sportsbooks licensed by the state you are physically in. Offshore sites are not licensed by any state. None of the bookmakers on this site accepts US customers. Our US sports betting page explains the state-by-state picture without recommending any operator, and free, confidential help is available by calling or texting 1-800-MY-RESET.

What are the warning signs of a bad bookmaker?

Some problems show up before you deposit, if you know where to look. Be cautious with any sportsbook that hides its operator or licence number, whose terms cannot be found or contradict the promotions page, that advertises a bonus far larger than the market without clear rollover rules, that pressures you by chat or text to deposit more, or that answers questions about withdrawals with new offers. None of the six on our list showed these signs when we checked, but brands change, and the same checks apply to any bookmaker you find elsewhere. A two-minute look at the terms and the licence register catches most of them.

How do you keep betting under control?

Set a deposit limit when you open an account, before you know whether the first week goes well or badly. Bet with a fixed stake that you could lose without it mattering, never chase losses, and take a break when betting stops being fun. All the bookmakers we list offer limits and self-exclusion in their account settings. Free, confidential help is available internationally from Gamblers Anonymous and Gambling Therapy. You must be 18 or older, or the legal age where you live if it is higher. Our safer betting page lists warning signs, tools and support services.

What is 99 Bookmakers?

99 Bookmakers is an independent guide to online sports betting for adults outside the US and UK. The site has covered bookmakers and betting since 2016; in 2026 every page was rewritten from scratch, and old reviews of bookmakers we have not re-checked now point to our current list instead of staying online with outdated facts. Pages are written and checked by the 99 Bookmakers Editorial Team against primary sources: operators’ terms, regulators’ registers and official sports bodies. Each page lists its sources and shows when it was last updated.

Frequently asked questions

Which online bookmaker is best?

The best bookmaker for you is one that accepts your country, holds a licence you can verify and offers low margins on the sports you bet. Of the six we list, Reblz has the strongest licence (Malta Gaming Authority), Tenobet the biggest headline offer and Stake the simplest no-bonus model.

Are online bookmakers safe?

Licensed bookmakers that publish their operator, licence and terms are far safer than unlicensed ones, but safety also depends on the regulator and the complaint route. Verify the licence, read the withdrawal limits and keep only your betting money on any site.

Can I use these bookmakers in the UK or the US?

No. All of them exclude the United States, and none holds a UK Gambling Commission licence, which is required to serve customers in Great Britain. US residents can bet legally only with state-licensed sportsbooks in states that allow it.

What is the minimum deposit at these bookmakers?

For the sports welcome offers it is €20 at Reblz, Bet Inferno and Foxy Gold. BC.Game’s monthly deposit bonus starts from $5. Minimums for each payment method are shown in the cashier and can differ by country.

Which of these bookmakers pays out fastest?

We do not measure payout times. By the operators’ own statements, Reblz processes instant bank withdrawals the same working day and Bet Inferno aims to process withdrawals within two working days. Identity checks usually cause the longest delays, so verify early.

Do I need more than one bookmaker account?

Two or three accounts let you take the best price on each bet, which saves more over a season than most bonuses are worth. Set a deposit limit on each and keep one record of all your bets.

Why is my country not accepted?

Bookmakers exclude countries where they do not hold the required licence or where local law or payment rules make it risky to operate. The excluded list is in each bookmaker’s terms. If your country is on it, choose another bookmaker rather than using a VPN, which breaks the terms.

Is a welcome bonus worth taking?

Only if you would place the bets needed to clear it anyway. A 100% match with a 6x deposit-plus-bonus rollover has positive expected value at a typical margin, but many players run out of balance or time before finishing.
